The Birmingham Boys Choir will be performing in Plzen and Prague in June 2015. The Czech E-pal committee made a Plzen Day press release in honor of Liberation Day. We also sent art to the Biennial Art contest. Birmingham-Southern College students assisted in establishing an E-pal connection with Czech students.
In June 2015 a large (50+) delegation from Birmingham will visit Plzen for concerts as part of their celebration as European cultural capital!
Jackson and Blanka Noskova on April 24 as Mark visits Plzen to make plans for future sister city exchanges.
- We sent a received Christmas/Holiday Cards from students at Sun Valley elementary to students in Plzen.
- Birmingham-Southern College is working to coordinate joint Earth Day events with Plzen
- Co-Chairs Anne Ledvina and Ted Von Cannon will be working to
re-organize the Czech Committee.
- Birmingham-Southern College and the University of West Bohemia, Institute of Art and Design, have signed a formal agreement of affiliation and spaces are open for all Birmingham area university students interested in studying art during the summer at the institute.

-From April 26-May 1, 2007 we hosted Mayor Mayor Pavel Rodl, City Councillor Petra Fischerova and City Staffers Stana Boudnikova and Milada Soukupova. While here they participated in the Salute to Czech Republic; met with the Mayor and City Council and toured Birmingham historic sites as well as met with local business leaders. We discussed many possible future exchanges. The Salute to Czech Republic by the Birmingham International Center was a major success.
